BOULDIN, Winford Mason - Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Winford Mason Bouldin, age 84, was born December 21, 1925 and died December 3, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a four-month illness.  A retired farmer, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Everett and Cleo Kell Bouldin.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, James Bouldin and infant brother, Jesse Bouldin.  He was married March 21, 1953 to Eva Sue Bouldin of the Vervilla Community.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters and brother-in-law, Gladys and John Blanks of Hixson, TN and Bessie Smithson of Morrison, TN;  three brothers and sisters-in-law, D.L. and Beth Bouldin, A.P. and Sandra Bouldin and Carl and Marcia Bouldin all of Viola, TN;  sister-in-law, Christine Hulett Bouldin of the Vervilla Community;  several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and numerous special friends.  Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with Chris Perry and Kreed Curtis officiating.  Burial followed in the Bascom Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

BOUNDS, Mary Novella - McMinnville resident and Huntsville, AL native Mary Novella Bounds, age 86, was born January 15, 1924 and died December 23, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  A retired cook at Dairy Hill Restaurant and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clessie and Bertie Sanders Mullican.  She was married to Lee Austin Bounds who preceded her in death January 23, 1991.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Bell and two brothers, James and Earl Leroy Mullican.  She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Glenda Bounds of McMinnville and Gerald Bounds of Pikeville, TN;  daughter, Barbara McGiboney of Texas;  seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren;  brother, Jr. Mullican of Sparta, TN;  three sisters, Dorothy Powell and Nell Chisam both of McMinnville and Jane Gilbert of Sparta, TN and special friend, Carol Hollingsworth.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Lane Dix officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.

BOYD, Donald Paul "Ducky" - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Donald Paul "Ducky" Boyd, age 30, was born March 12, 1980 and died September 5, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.  He was a member of the Baptist Church and the son of Jo Rhea Boyd of McMinnville and the late Donald E. BOYD, Rowena Newby - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rowena Newby Boyd, age 90, was born December 20, 1919 and died December 2, 2010 at her residence.  A clothing designer, seamstress and homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Sam Henderson and Bertha Newby and member of the Pentecostal Church.  She was married to Charles E. Boyd who preceded her in death in 1990.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lowrie Turner and Jim Robinson and two brothers, G.W. Newby and Clayburn Robinson.  She is survived by three brothers and sister-in-law, Rudolph Newby of Tullahoma, TN and Randolph and Helen Newby and J. BROWN, SPC Jeremy Lynn - Fort Campbell, KY resident and Warren County native SPC Jeremy Lynn Brown, age 20, was born May 15, 1989 and was killed in action in Afghanistan May 9, 2010.  He was the son of Mac and Rhonda Reed Brown of McMinnville and a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willard C. Brown and Connie Rogers; maternal grandparents, "PeeWee" and Lucy Reed and cousin, Eli Brown.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers and sister-in-law, Chris and Sheri Brown and Jason Brown both of McMinnville;  niece, Katelyn Faith Brown of McMinnville and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in High's Chapel with Ray Skyles and LTC Chaplain Dewey Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. BROWN, Rose Marie Ippolito - Cookeville, TN resident and Chicago, IL native Rose Marie Ippolito Brown, age 97, was born August 15, 1913 and died September 8, 2010 at her residence following a lingering illness.  Mrs. Brown studied law and received her degree from Loyola University, and practiced law from an office in her home.  She also served as Mayor of her home town, Tinley Park, IL.  She the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Mauro Ippolito and was a member of the Catholic Church.  She was married in 1935 to Douglas F. Brown who preceded her in death September 21, 1988.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward F. CARR, Bruce Allen - Smithville resident and Detroit, MI native Bruce Allen Carr, age 54, was born April 27, 1956 and died December 25, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.  An RN at River Park Hospital and member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of Willie Mae Carr of Altamont, TN and the late James Denton Carr.  He was married to Donna Kay Stewart Carr of Smithville, TN.  Bruce was a student of life.  He was always wanting to learn and experience new things, from learning to fly to traveling abroad and simply helping people locally, never letting them know who their benefactor was.  In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Sarah Carr of Goodlettsville, TN, Lee Stewart Carr of McMinnville and Patrick and Julie Carr of Chattanooga, TN;  brother and sister-in-law, James Denton and Chris Carr of Indianapolis, IN;  father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nestor and Jo Stewart of McMinnville;  sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Stewart of McMinnville, Ella and David Wilson of Brentwood, TN, Sherri and Barry Stowe of Hong Kong, China and Gina and Mike Craig of Rockford, MI;  brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Peg Stewart of McMinnville;  aunts and uncles, Frances Hobbs of McMinnville, Frank Lee Hobbs of Altamont, TN and Glenn and Fay Hobbs of Rock Island, TN;  several nieces and nephews and great-nephew.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Central Church of Christ with Kirk Brothers officiating.  Burial followed in the Webb Cemetery @ Bluff Springs.

DAVIS, JR., Benjamin Franklin - McMinnville resident and Detroit, MI native Benjamin Franklin Davis, Jr., age 81, was born August 7, 1929 and died September 25, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  Ben grew up in Florida and graduated from Fletcher High School and was in the United States Air Force where he served in Saudi Arabia during the Korean Conflict.  He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX in 1955.  Ben was an accountant and worked for several CPA firms and with Chrysler Corporation.  Ben was Audit Manager with Chrysler for thirteen years.  He bought his own accounting firm in Temple, TX in 1977.  Ben was always active in the Baptist Churches.  He was ordained as Deacon at Beacon Hill Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville Beach, FL, Ewing Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ and Live Oak Baptist Church in Gatesville, TX.  Ben loved the Lord and taught Sunday school since he was in his twenties.  He was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Gertrude Cave Davis, Sr.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Wayne Davis.  He was married July 29, 1950 to Margaret K. Jones Davis of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Benjamin Franklin "Trey" Davis, III of Taylor, TX;  two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Tom Ward of McMinnville and Leslie and Victor Babecki of Hamilton, NJ;  six grandchildren and their spouses, Charlie and Miranda Furbee, Brent and Maria Davis, Justin Furbee, Michael and Michelle Babecki, Laura and Mike Puzdrak and Jana and Caleb Kirchoff;  eight great-grandchildren, Robert Lee, Ethan and Mason Davis, Cameron and Katie Beth Furbee, Madison and Michael Benjamin Babecki and Ava Puzdrak;  two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Stermon of Florida and Rickie and Bill Pearce of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in High's Chapel with John May officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.

DAVIS, Carl William - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carl William Davis, age 59, was born June 29, 1951 and died September 5, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  The superintendent of the water and waste water departments of the City of McMinnville, he attended Friendship The Baptist Church and was the son of the late Edward and Gladys Potter Davis.  He was married to Joy Hale Davis of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and David Miller of McMinnville;  son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kristi Davis of McMinnville;  six grandchildren, Logan and Cameron Miller, Jade and Drew Davis and McKenzi and Chandler Rockwell;  brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Maxine Davis of Manchester, TN;  niece, Susan Abbott of Kentucky;  mother-in-law, Frances Hale of McMinnville;  sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Mark King and Mike and Brooke Hale all of Rock Island, TN and Liz and Rick Reed, Wayne Hale and Sam Hale all of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in High's Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.

DAVIS, Will A. - McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Will A. Davis, age 91, was born July 26, 1919 and died November 20, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  Mr. Davis was retired from active duty with the Georgia Army National Guard, a United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Locust Street Church of God.  He was the son of the late Amon Livingston and Emily Eilzabeth Felton Davis.  He was a charter member of VFW Post 5064 which was formed in 1946.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.  He was married November 29, 1947 to Opal King Davis of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bearl Kirby, Sr. of McMinnville;  son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Thomas and Donna Davis of Midway, GA;  two grandchildren, Bearl Kirby, Jr. and wife Regina and Stephanie Alley and fiancé Jimmy Bolin both of McMinnville;  step-grandson, Scott Brown of Atlanta, GA and great-grandson, Dustin Thomas Kirby of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.  Masonic rites will be administered at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in High's parlor.

DILLARD, William Charles "Doc" - McMinnville resident and Warren County native William Charles "Doc" Dillard, age 48, was born July 23, 1961 and died May 15, 2010 at his residence.  A crane operator for Bell & Associates and member of the Hiawassee Church of Christ, he was the son of Amanda Dillard Whitaker of McMinnville and the late Toot Ramsey.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Leon Whitaker.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Krista and Trista Dillard both of McMinnville;  brother, Kelly Whitaker of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Isaiah, Kristopher, Harmoni and Kingston;  two cousins, James and Herman Dillard and one niece and two nephews, Chelsea, Alex and Aaron. FITZGERALD, Joel Brock - McMinnville resident and Chattanooga, TN native Joel Brock Fitzgerald, age 60, was born April 1, 1949 and died March 22, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.  A forty-year employee of Purity Dairies and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Carl Edward and Flona Brock Fitzgerald.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Mark Fitzgerald.  He was married October 14, 1972 to Dian Cavin Fitzgerald.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Paul Phifer of McMinnville;  daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Randy Jennings of McMinnville;  five grandchildren, Ashley Newport and husband Jason, Kayla Freeman, Randall Jennings, Alana Jennings and Alisha Jennings all of McMinnville;  great-grandson, Taben Newport;  niece, Christina Smartt and husband Derrick of Tracy City, TN;  great-niece, Paige Smartt and great-nephew, Tyler Smartt.  At Mr. Fitzgerald's request, he was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Gibbs, age 75, was born March 16, 1935 and died September 12, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A retired employee of A.E.D.C. and member of the Morrison First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Hugh Allen and Lillie Dennis Gibbs.  Mr. Gibbs was a charter member of the Morrison Ruritan Club.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jo Steakley and brother, Kenneth Gibbs.  He was married to Bertha Coppinger Gibbs of Morrison, TN.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gary Gibbs of Morrison, TN, Bryson Gibbs of Nashville, TN and Kent Gibbs of McMinnville, TN;  two step-children and their spouses, Lisa and Steve Harvey of McMinnville and Sue and Don Royal of Muncie, IN;  eight grandchildren, Lindsey Gibbs of Joelton, TN, Zachary Gibbs and Lauren Gibbs both of Murfreesboro, TN, Shaina (Lyle) Savage of Muncie, IN, Gracie Patrick and Martha and Liza Harvey;  two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Seth Savage of Indiana and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Imogene and Wayne Daniel of Manchester, TN and Judy and Clifford Turner of the Midway Community.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with Jack Hice officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. Gillentine, Jr., age 91, was born April 12, 1919 and died November 12, 2010 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.  A farmer and United States Army veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late William Tee and Vera Brewer Gillentine, Sr.  He was married to Mildred Holder Gillentine who preceded him in death April 19, 1999.  He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Gillentine and Garry and Helen Gillentine both of McMinnville and Buddy and Donna Gillentine of Greenville, SC;  five grandchildren, Greg Gillentine of Knoxville, TN, Ashley Wright of McMinnville and Amelia, Robert and Andrew Gillentine all of Greenville, SC;  brother, Leon Gillentine of McMinnville;  sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marion and J.W. HALL, Hubert Clarence - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Hubert Clarence Hall, age 75, was born April 14, 1935 and died November 16, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  The owner/operator of Hall's Fruit Company, he attended Pleasant Cove Church of Christ and was the son of the late Thurman Alvin and Edna Pauline Freeze Hall.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Ann Pelham.  He was married August 20, 1955 to Barbara Turner Hall of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Karon and Ronnie Layne and Kathy Brewer both of McMinnville;  six grandchildren, Jeremie and Lori Turner, Tanarra and Richard Grissom, Karissa and Mark Hale, Talissa Pelham and Rayce and Ridge Brewer all of McMinnville;  eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Keaton and Kristen Turner, Rachel and Sarah Grissom, Emilee and Hence Hale and Dylan Lockhart all of McMinnville;  uncle, Ashley Freeze of McMinnville;  special family, Bud Turner, Jackie Pelham and Matt Brewer and several cousins.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. HARDCASTLE, SR., Floyd Ulysses - McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Floyd Ulysses Hardcastle, age 92, was born April 22, 1918 and died July 22, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.  A retired Assistant Superintendent with McMinnville Electric System and United States Army veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late Benjamin Roy and Veta Mai Vanhooser Hardcastle.  Mr. Hardcastle was a member of the Central Church of Christ where he was a former deacon and elder.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Martin, Melba Davis and Roy Mai Warren.  He was married March 4, 1951 to Patsy Murphy Hardcastle of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Hardcastle and Betty and Tom Wood both of McMinnville;  son, Floyd Hardcastle, Jr. of McMinnville;  grandson, Adam Wood of McMinnville;  brother, Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville;  two sisters, Dorothy Cook of McMinnville and Elsie Harris of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with Julian Goodpaster officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. HENDRIXSON, Ellen Josephine Davis - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ellen Josephine Davis Hendrixson, age 89, was born April 30, 1921 and died November 18, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.  A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Abner and Lizzie Davis.  Mrs. Hendrixson was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and rocked babies in the nursery for many years.  She was married to Bill Evins Hendrixson of McMinnville.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalyn and Earl Partin of McMinnville and Lizanne and Jim Hunter of Louisville, KY and grandchildren, Ellen Hunter of Menlo Park, CA, Will Partin of Winston-Salem, NC, Emily Partin of McMinnville and Samuel Huter of Louisville, KY.  The family would like to thank her home caregiver, Pasty Jones and the staff of Raintree Manor for their expert and loving care during Josephine's final illness.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bob Case officiating.  Burial followed in the DeKalb Memorial Gardens in Smithville, TN.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or First United Methodist Church.

HERNDON, Henry L. - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Henry L. Herndon, age 95, was born August 22, 1914 and died July 10, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired employee of Rockwell Company in Chattanooga, TN and member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Henry Brewer and Bessie Elizabeth Medley Herndon.  Mr. Herndon was a member of Warren Masonic Lodge #125 F&AM, Eastern Star Chapter 725 and Senior Friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Jo Ann Herndon and two brothers, Paul and Joe Herndon.  He was married October 4, 1940 to Mildred Askew Herndon of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, he is survived by special nephew, Bill Askew of McMinnville and several other nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in High's Chapel with Joe Gray officiating.  Burial followed in the Centertown Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites administered by Warren Lodge #125.

HILLIS, Beulah Mae - Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Beulah Mae Hillis, age 87, was born January 6, 1923 and died July 12, 2010 at Raintree Manor.  Ms. Hillis had been at Raintree Manor nursing home since March of 2009.  She was a life-long resident of the Rocky River Community in Van Buren County and was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Eliza Martin Hillis and five siblings, Lonnie, Charlie and Arthur Hillis, Eula Yates and Lena Hillis.  She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ms. Hillis worked for approximately fifteen years at Genesco.  She was hard working, what some would call a mountain woman, because of her work ethics.  She worked long hours on the farm and was always tasked to take care of her family as they grew older, until only she was left with no one to care for her.  She was never married, but she was dearly loved. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ at Crain Hill as long as services were held there.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with Gene Brock officiating.  Burial followed in Crain Hill Cemetery.

HITCHCOCK, Hassie - McMinnville resident and Hamilton County, TN native Hassie Hitchcock, age 95, was born March 18, 1915 and died October 31, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A homemaker and member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late John Claude and Lula Esta Johnson Dillon.  She was married to Tillman Haskel Hitchcock who preceded her in death October 3, 1978.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Tillmon Powell Hitchcock;  two brothers, Johnson and Willis Dillon;  sister, Katherine Baldwin and two half-sisters, Lorena Cox and Bobbie Bryant.  She is survived by four children and their spouses, Sam and Nancy Hitchcock and Maxine Hitchcock both of Rock Island, TN, Shelby Bracy of Joelton, TN and Barbara and Frank Foster of Tampa, FL;  seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;  sister, Mae Vance of McMinnville;  step-brother, Gordon Hitchcock of Albany, GA and sister-in-law, Edna Dillon of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating.  Burial followed in the Long Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.

HUTCHINS, Tommy - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Tommy Hutchins, age 63, was born July 22, 1947 and died October 26, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.  A retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Orville and Mattie Cleo Blankenship Hutchins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, John Drake, Wayne Drake and W. KEPLINGER, Charles Marion - Charlotte, NC resident (formerly of McMinnville) and Hillsboro, TN native Charles Marion Keplinger, age 86, was born October 30, 1923 and died October 7, 2010 at Regency Retirement Center in Charlotte, NC.  A retired manager with the Sherwin-Williams Company, a United States Marine Corps veteran of WWII and a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church in McMinnville, he was the son of the late Howard and Edna Whitworth Keplinger.  He was married to Muriel Womack Keplinger who preceded him in death.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Grace Keplinger Jones.  He is survived by daughter, Jane Brock of Charlotte, NC;  sister and brother-in-law, Ann Keplinger Fuqua and Shannon of Nashville, TN;  sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Womack of Nashville, TN;  brother-in-law, James Jones of Franklin, TN and three nephews and two nieces.  Mr. Keplinger was past president of the McMinnville Exchange Club, charter member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church and served three terms on the McMinnville Board of Mayor and Alderman.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church with his godson, Rev. KNOWLES, Carolyn Ramsey - Sevierville, TN resident and Warren County native Carolyn Ramsey Knowles, age 77, was born October 31, 1932 and died September 6, 2010 at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN following a brief illness.  A retired sales manager with Liz Claiborne and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Brown and Sarah Olivia Mason Ramsey, Sr.  She was married to Harris Brown Knowles who preceded her in death February 10, 2001.  She is survived by one son, Anthony Mark Knowles of Phoenix, AZ;  two daughters, Rhonda Leslie Howard of Irvine, CA and Amy Elizabeth Cross of Sevierville, TN;  four grandchildren;  sister, Rebecca Ann Odom of Hereford, AZ;  brother, John Brown Ramsey, Jr. of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 in High's Chapel with Rod Rutherford officiating.  Burial followed in the Viola Cemetery.

LeMieux, JoAnn Alice - McMinnville resident and Montreal, Quebec, Canada native JoAnn Alice LeMieux, age 69, was born April 4, 1940 and died March 30, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.  An administrative assistant for Douglas Development, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Laura Bourdeau Vincent.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Vincent.  She is survived by one daughter, Laura Smith of McMinnville;  two grandchildren, Bryan David Smith and Sky Ann Smith both of McMinnville;  two brothers, Albert Vincent and Bruce Vincent both of Canada and sister, Paulette Milley of California.  The family will conduct private services at a later date.

MCVEY, SR., Kelly - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Kelly McVey, Sr., age 90, was born March 24, 1920 and died April 11, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.  Mr. McVey owned and ran Spring Street Service Station for forty years.  He was the son of the late Eli and Ora Collier McVey and was a member of the New Union United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, James and Arlus McVey and three sisters, Dyllus Anderson, Edna Hillis and Alta Hill.  He was married August 14, 1941 to Nancy Novella Luna McVey of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Starr McVey, Jr. of McMinnville;  two grandsons, Jason McVey and wife Sarah of McMinnville and Jeremy McVey of McMinnville;  sister, Ora Ruth McVey of McMinnville and a host of nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at New Union United Methodist Church with Tim Lewis, Mark Carrigan and David Grissom officiating.  Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.

Newby.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, G.W. NUNLEY, Stanley M. - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Stanley M. Nunley, age 58, was born September 21, 1952 and died December 2, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a courageous battle.  A long-time employee of Caney Fork Electric Cooperative, retired construction worker and member of the Presbyterian Church he was the son of the late Rice A. and Cora Louise Bishop Nunley.  Mr. Nunley was a standout lineman at Warren County High School where he made the All Mid-State Team in 1969 and received a football scholarship to MTSU.  He was named one of the best lineman in the southeast in 1986 while with Caney Fork.  He was a youth softball and football coach and former member of the Lions Club.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Beverly Mainer.  He is survived by his wife, Tina Nunley of McMinnville;  daughter, Amy Craig of McMinnville;  three granddaughters, Easton and Annalee McCormick and Ayala Craig;  three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve (twin brother) and Frances Nunley of Cookeville, TN and George and Rose Nunley and Bruce Nunley both of McMinnville;  two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Ronnie McBride of Viola, TN and Sonjia Nunley of McMinnville;  several nieces and nephews;  companion, Ella Mae;  special friend, Dennis McBride and numerous friends and caretakers.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Kirby and Harry Green officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.

PORTER, Richard Dwight - Morrison, TN resident and Madison County, AL native Richard Dwight Porter, age 60, was born September 29, 1950 and died October 17, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.  An employee of Morrison Tool and Fab and member of Pioneer Community Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Jesse Lee and Elah Novella Webster Porter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Nathan Porter.  He is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo and C.L. Whiteaker and Sue and Ronnie Fowler both of McMinnville, Johnnie and Audie Wellman of Morrison, TN and Faye and Brian Bonner of McCalla, AL;  four brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Lee Porter, Terry Dee Porter and Donnie Ray Porter all of Morrison, TN and Jesse and Ann Porter of Summitville, TN;  a host of nieces and nephews and special friends, Bobbie Hillis and Boyd Reed.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in High's Chapel with Gary Few officiating.  Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.

POTTER, Ora Alice - McMinnville resident and Clay County native Ora Alice Potter, age 88, was born June 11, 1922 and died of old age July 15, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville.  A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Lou Mathis Harvey.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Odell and Elmo Harvey and two sisters, Mary Muncey and Lenora Potter.  She is survived by two sons, Billy Potter of McMinnville and Jerry Potter of Clarksville, TN;  six grandchildren, Katrina, Carly, Jeremy, Amanda, Kimberly and Tina and four great-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Kirby officiating.  Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery on Hwy. 30.

POWERS, Carmon Rose Scott - Rocky River Community resident and Van Buren County, TN native Carmon Rose Scott Powers, age 70, was born June 4, 1939 and died March 15, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired employee of Oster Corporation and member of the Harmony Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Eliza Bishop Scott.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Layton Scott and one son, Jeffery Scott Powers.  She was married for over fifty-two years to Carl Powers of the Rocky River Community.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Anita Powers of the Rocky River Community;  three grandchildren, Amos, Nola and Jasper Powers all of Doyle, TN;  two half-brothers, Edd Scott and Fred Scott both of Rock Island, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bob McCoy officiating.  Burial followed in the White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.

PRATER, Cecil Dewey - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Cecil Dewey Prater, age 91, was born February 5, 1919 and died June 25, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired rural letter carrier, United States  Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Sam Arlee and Mary Lowe Prater.  He was a life-time member of the American Legion.  He was married to Frances Lillian Sain who preceded him in death March 15, 2002.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther and Glenn Prater;  two sisters, Lucille Rinehart and Nina McCormick and granddaughter, Carole Prater Bradley.  He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sydney Prater of McMinnville and Dr. Nick and Patty Prater of Olathe, KS;  two grandchildren, Sean Prater of Durham, NC and Breanna Prater of Dallas, TX and brother, Eugene Prater of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.  Memorial contributions may be made to Westwood Church of Christ Building Fund, Relay For Life or Meals on Wheels all c/o High's.

PRATER, Theodore "Ted" - Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Theodore "Ted" Prater, age 91, was born February 17, 1919 and died June 11, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.  A retired supervisor with AEDC and member of the Morrison Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John Murph and Media St. John Prater.  Mr. Prater was a past elder at Morrison Church of Christ.  He was the first superintendent of Sunny Acres Children's Home, an original founder of F.C. Boyd Christian, Sr. School, an original organizer of the 911 board and a charter member of Morrison Ruritan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Eustace Prater and two sisters, Johnnie Ruth "Sug" Fisher and Christine Cooper.  He was married November 22, 1941 to Midred McMahan Prater of Morrison, TN.  In addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ted Riley and Michael Prater of Englewood, FL;  two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Marion Turner of Morrison, TN and Amy and Paul Freeman of McMinnville;  two chosen daughters of the heart, Brenda Dykes Cope and husband Gary of Huntsville, AL and Treva Talbert Spurling of McMinnville;  nine grandchildren and their spouses, Robin and Marcus Eason, Jill Cherie McArdell, Jennifer and Chad Turner, Elizabeth and Stephen Smith, Kelly and Jamie Taylor, Kara and Chris Helton, Derrick and Buddi Dean, Amy and James Priest and John Wesley Roberts;  sixteen great-grandchildren;  Abigail Nichole Eason, Brandon Kyle Eason, Julian Caleb Eason, Trey (Robert) Carey, Brooke (Avery) Carey, Aubrey (Julia) McArdell, Hannah Lea Turner, McCall Isaiah Turner, Kaylin Prater Barrett, Dustin Sawyer "Saul" Barrett, Samuel Vance Smith, Jacob Warren Taylor, Jase Wesley Taylor, Jamison Paul Helton and one set of twins;  sister, Willie Sain and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was expecting two great-grandchildren and his first great-great-grandchild.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Morrison Church of Christ with Leroy Dedmon, Roger Comstock and Bobby Newby officiating.  Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boyd Christian School or The Gospel Broadcasting Network.

REYNOLDS, JoLeta M. - Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native JoLeta M. Reynolds, age 67, was born October 17, 1942 and died April 16, 2010 at her residence following a seven-year illness.  An administrator with the United States Department of Education and member of the Church of God Seventh Day, she was the daughter of Willburn McDowell of Rock Island, TN and the late Maggie Bottoms McDowell.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Willburn Jerry McDowell.  She earned the professional degrees of Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University, Master of Arts and Education Specialist from Tennessee Technological University and Doctor of Education from Memphis State University.  She began her professional career in 1966 in the Warren County School System where she served as a teacher and administrator.  In 1976, she accepted employment with the Tennessee State Department of Education where she served as Director of Compensatory Education; Executive Director, Tennessee State Board of Education; and Assistant Commissioner of Education, Division of Special Education Programs, including the State's Special Schools.  In 1989, she began a career with the U. S. Department of Education where she served in several key positions, including serving as an advisor to many assistant secretaries.  She played a major role in the construction of the implementing regulations of the 1997 reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. She developed, consulted, and provided training on national policies to legislators, advocates, state directors, administrators, teachers, and parents.  She worked tirelessly to improve programs and services for children with disabilities and their families.  For her work, she received many national awards including the CHADD Public Policy Award, NASDSE Martha J. Fields Award of Excellence, and the Mountain Plains Resource Center Lifetime Achievement Award.  In addition, The JoLeta Reynolds Service to Special Education Award is presented annually to individuals who demonstrate dedication, excellence and integrity in serving students with disabilities and their families, or who support those serving this exceptional population by LRP Publications.  She was married August 30, 1963 to Ronnie Lee Reynolds of Rock Island, TN.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Clark Reynolds and Daphne Humphries of Harvest, AL;  two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Paul Dunlap of Rock Island, TN and Jimmie and Kenneth Pell of Sylvania, AL;  numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 in High's Chapel with Paul Dunlap and Robert Coulter officiating.  Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warren County Relay For Life c/o High's Inc.
