MILLER, Mattie Louise Taylor -
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Mattie Louise Taylor Miller, age 72, was born May 20, 1937 and
died March 5, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended
illness. A retired nanny, she attended Clark United Methodist Church
and was the daughter of the late Harry Ed and Henrietta Hancock
Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two
brothers, Charles Henry Hancock and Harry Taylor and sister,
Edwina Grayson. She was married 50 years to William Hayes Miller of
McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons
and daughters-in-law, Brian Keith "Lillard" and Jennifer Miller of
Nashville, TN, Christopher and Jackie Miller of Doyle, TN and William
"Bro" Miller of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Tasha, Shaneka, Little
Chris, Britney, Dayton and Kanisha; two great-grandchildren, Tony and Taneisha; brother, James Howard Taylor of Rio Rancho, NM; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pearlie Ellis of Nashville, TN,
Lisa and Leonard Noon of Tullahoma, TN and Hattie Lynda and Henry Wood
of Cookeville, TN and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service
will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in High's Chapel with Rev. Eddie Vance officiating. Burial
will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery at Martin Charge. Visitation will be
held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.

WOMACK, Perry Jean
- McMinnville resident and Warren County native Perry Jean Womack, age
78, was born March 29, 1931 and died March 9, 2010 at NHC Healthcare
McMinnville following a two-year illness. A homemaker and member
of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Perry Andrew
and Onia Belle Glenn Gribble. In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton N. Gribble;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Nellie Gribble LePere and
Johnnie and Lue Slatton; grandson, Jarrod Womack;
brother-in-law, C. Wymer Wiser; sister-in-law, Pauline Golden
Gribble and nieces, Marlan Sue Gribble and Trudy Z. Gribble. She
was married May 5, 1951 to Wayne Womack of McMinnville. In
addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and
daughter-in-law, Ralph and Chris Womack of Campaign, TN;
daughter and son-in-law, Mia-Lan and Vernon Powers of McMinnville;
six grandchildren and their spouses, Adam and Karrie Aycock of
Fredricksburg, VA, April and Paul Bryant of Cleveland, TN, Lucas
Womack of Chattanooga, TN, Jacob Webb of Quebeck, TN, Angie and John
Tune of Bellevue, TN and Keith Powers of Hendersonville, TN;
eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Newton Gribble of
Cookeville, TN; sister, Laura Wiser of Murfreesboro, TN;
several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, June Gribble of
McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday,
March 11, 2010 in High's Chapel with Wayne Cantrell and Charles
Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and
10:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's.

CANTRELL, Sr., Newman Houston
- McMinnville resident and Huntsville, AL native Newman Houston
Cantrell, Sr., age 81, was born January 5, 1929 and died March 9, 2010
at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville, TN following an extended
illness. A retired mechanic with General Equipment Company and
member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Hall
Houston and Zula May Hill Cantrell. In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by one brother, William Cantrell;
sisters, Peggy Jo Morton, Mary Ruth Tenpenny and Elsie Cantrell and
son-in-law, Bryson Adams. He was married May 23, 1945 to Dorothy
Pepper Cantrell of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is
survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Jerri Ann Adams and Teresa
and Henry Johnson both of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law,
Newman Houston and Kari Cantrell, Jr. of McMinnville;
grandchildren, Bryson Lee Adams, Jr. and wife Janie, Courtney Lynn
Johnson, Houston Blake Cantrell, Baylee Ashton Fults and Karlee Ann
Cantrell all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Chandler Lee
Adams, Hunter Lee Adams, Haile West, Cailyn Hillis, Aspen Tai and
Maddox Rayne Adams all of McMinnville; sister, Sarah Baker of
Tullahoma, TN and brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Jean Cantrell of
McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday,
March 12, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bro. Carl Smith and Randy
Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery
in DeKalb County, TN. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.
until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday
at High's.
