NICHOLAS, Imogene Ruby - McMinnville resident and Ewing, VA native Imogene Ruby Nicholas, age 78, was born March 9, 1932 and died July 28, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  A retired employee of Oster Corporation and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Grace Overton Brooks.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pam Rankhorn;  two brothers, Virgil and James Brooks and two sisters, Josephine Thomas and Virgie Thomas.  She was married February 23, 2006 to Everett Nicholas of McMinnville.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children and their spouses, Kathy and Bobby Tyree of Morrison, TN, Jeana Boyd, Lori Dillingham and Kevin and Terry Cutts all of McMinnville and Melissa and Craig Thiele of Gainesboro, TN;  eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren;  two sisters, Irene Ingle of Meridian, MS and Betty Merritt of Lavergne, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 in High's Chapel with Rick Clouse officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shellsford Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High's.

MEEKS, Johnny Buford "Squeaky" - McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Johnny Buford "Squeaky" Meeks, age 70, was born May 22, 1940 and died July 29, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired truck driver with Sullens Transport, he was the son of the late John Edd and Eula Mae Meeks.  He was married to Nellie Morgan Meeks who preceded him in death December 24, 2007.  He is survived by one daughter, Johni Meeks of Nashville, TN;  two step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Frank and Sandy Newby and Brayton Harris both of McMinnville;  step-daughter and her fiancé,  Kim Engleman and Rob Gross of Howard City, MI;  two grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter;  two sisters, Stella Marsh (Bob Garrison) of McMinnville and Barbara Chambers (Larry Mullens) of Nashville, TN;  several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 in High's Chapel with Willard Ralph, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.

COUCH, Gerald Ray - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Gerald Ray Couch, age 55, was born October 29, 1954 and died July 30, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.  A retired employee of Century Electric and member of Friendship The Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Alton and Minnie May Jones Couch.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and J.C. Couch.  He is survived by one brother, Larry Couch;  special friend, Tina King and aunt, Ruby Pennington all of McMinnville.  Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 in High's Chapel with Johnny Haston officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.

TURNER, William Colby - McMinnville resident and Warren County native William Colby Turner, age 19, was born December 21, 1990 and died July 23, 2010.  An employee of THC Molding in Waverly, TN, he was the son of Royce and Patricia Turner and Ronda Turner and Charles Wilcher both of McMinnville.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, F.W. "Bill" Turner and maternal grandfather, A.C. Simmons.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Cory and Andrea Turner of McMinnville;  two sisters and brother-in-law, Ashley and Ryan Hobbs and Autumn Turner both of McMinnville;  paternal grandmother, Betty Turner of McMinnville;  maternal grandmother, Remonia Porter of McMinnville;  aunt and uncle, Shirlene and Kermit Stiles of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Graveside memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Smyrna Cemetery with Mike Steakley officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday at High's.
