SLIGER, Raymond Harding - McMinnville resident and Putnam County, TN native Raymond Harding Sliger, age 90, was born December 19, 1921 and died February 9, 2012 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A retired employee of General Shoe Corporation, Church of Christ minister and United States Army veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew and Clara Richardson Sliger.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Hattie Taylor, Hester Davis and Rozella Goodman and two brothers, Richard and John Sliger.  He was married September 28, 1946 to Bonnie Goodman Sliger of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Charlene and Keith Hollingworth of McMinnville and nieces and nephews, Mike and Derita Reed of Rock Island, TN, Steve and Linda McGregor, Jerry and Martha McGregor, Dickie and Deborah Sliger, Larry and Elaine Goodman and Chuck and Shanda Hollingsworth all of McMinnville, Phillip and Pam Hollingsworth of Kennesaw, GA and Dwight Goodman of Donelson, TN.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012 in High's Chapel with Vernon Joines, Raymond Curtis and Doris Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
