ANDERSON, Marvin H. "Moe" - Morrison, TN resident and Coffee County, TN native Marvin H. "Moe" Anderson, age 67, was born July 21, 1943 and died July 24, 2010 at his residence following a five-month illness.  A supervisor with Pajama Corporation of America, he was the son of the late Porter Anderson, Sr. and Lydia Stacey Pelham   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Dorsey Pelham;  five brothers, Owen, Porter Jr., Earl, Cody and Wayne Anderson and sister, Juanita Barnes.  He was married August 30, 1965 to Sue Wood Anderson of Morrison, TN.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Lynn and Donna Anderson of McMinnville;  two grandchildren, Jonathan Anderson and Jarah Anderson both of McMinnville;  four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Bud Bell of Manchester, TN, Shirley and Archie Driver of McMinnville, Sue and Benny Faircloth of Springfield, TN and Jean McInturf of Summitville, TN;  brother, Leighton Anderson of Tullahoma, TN;  twin brother and sister-in-law, Marlin and Brenda Anderson of Summitville, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bro. Gene Green officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.

BARNES, James Edward "Barney" - McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Edward "Barney" Barnes, age 57, was born November 2, 1952 and died June 30, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.  A retired employee of A.O. Smith and member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, he was the son of Willie Bouldin Barnes of McMinnville and the late James Benjamin Barnes.  He was married June 19, 1977 to Janie L. Barnes of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by six children and their spouses, Jamie and Heath Griffith, Tammy and Bob Ried, Jackie Holland Hawkins, Bud Holland and Chris Holland all of McMinnville and Emily and Don Crisp of Murfreesboro, TN;  eleven grandchildren, Alicia, Nick, Matt, Ashley, Josh, Kristi, Christopher, Little Jack, Donovan, Tailynn and Bronson;  nine great-grandchildren, Hailey, Brooke, Amber, Pacey, Dawsen, Ashlin and Landin, Brayden "Peanut" and Breez;  three sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Ron Glasener, Katie and Mikey Weatherspoon and Hilda and Mike Duke all of McMinnville;  brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Phyllis Barnes of McMinnville;  sisters-in-law, Mary Cantrell and Kathy Hudson and husband Jerry both of McMinnville, Juanita Jones of Nashville, TN and Mary Ellen Rollins of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 in High's Chapel with Steven Hillis and Jerry Hudson officiating.  Burial followed in the New Bon Air Cemetery in White County, TN.

BATES, Clarence Edward "Eddie" - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Clarence Edward "Eddie" Bates, age 77, was born June 29, 1933 and died July 26, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A logger and nurseryman, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Edna Pearl Scott Bates.  He was married August 17, 1951 to Della Agnes Hale Bates who preceded him in death.  He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Tony Moore and Juan and Randall Milstead both of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Ryan Moore, Benji Taylor, Lynde Bond and Denae Green;  eight great-grandchildren, Allison Bond, Fletcher Moore, Dylan Bond, Natalie Green, Tru Moore, Ella Bond, Dillard Taylor and Presley Green;  three sisters, Barbara Gillentine and Christine Wimley both of McMinnville and Lillian Fults of Altamont, TN;  brother, Clifford Bates of McMinnville;  several nieces and nephews and special friend, Diane Campbell of McMinnville.  A graveside service and interment was held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Smyrna Cemetery with Jackie Matheny officiating.

BROWN, Gladyes Louise - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Gladyes Louise Brown, age 72, was born May 8, 1938 and died July 11, 2010 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.  A retired employee of Oster, she attended McMinnville Independent Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late Edward Vernon and Dora Mae Johnson Barnes.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Price Barnes;  sister, Nina Mae Barnes;  half-sister, Velma Lou Pendleton and half-brother, Rufus "Bill" Simmons.  She is survived by one son, Jacky Chisam (Renee Nail) of McMinnville;  two grandchildren, April (Chad) McCormick and Jack Thomas (Bianca) Chisam both of McMinnville;  five great-grandchildren, Taylor Elgouhary, Abbie McCormick, Evan McCormick, Jaiden Chisam and Bailey Chisam and three nieces, Dorothy Simons of McMinnville and Patsy Brown and Joy Witherow both of Nashville, TN.  Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in High's Chapel with Johnny Haston and Richard Hale officiating.  Burial followed in the Morrison Cemetery.

DELONG, Margie Edna - Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Margie Edna DeLong, age 84, was born October 27, 1925 and died July 24, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Fred Clay and Gertie Bishop Moore.  She was married to Richard Leon DeLong who preceded her in death in 1993.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Sue Lawson, Bobby DeLong and Betty Simmons.  She is survived by two sons, Charles DeLong of Rock Island, TN and Lee DeLong of Irving, TX;  nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren;  three sisters, Dorothy Palmer of Rock Island, TN, Gracie Lawson of the Centertown Community and Barbara Childress of Arlington, TX;  brother, Sammy Moore of Maryville, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in High's Chapel with Willard Ralph, Jr. officiating.  Burial followed in the Long Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.

EARLS, Dorothy Belle Smith - Smyrna, TN resident and Warren County native Dorothy Belle Smith Earls, age 77, was born July 15, 1932 and died April 9, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.   A homemaker and member of the Jehovah's Witness Church in Smyrna, TN, she was the daughter of the late Allen Elijah Smith and Mina Belle Bess Smith French, Jr.  She was married July 14, 1947 to Everett T. Earls, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1995.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Randolf Smith, Sr. and sister, Frances Colleen Smith Pack.  She is survived by six children and their spouses, Barbara (Earls Walden) and Charles Richard Baylis of Morrison, TN, Larry Hobert Earls, Katherine Jeanette Earls Moody Martin and Everett T. ECKERT, Velma - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Velma Eckert, age 87, was born October 24, 1922 and died July 14, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.  The owner of Eckert's Boarding Home and member of First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Maggie Rollings Brown.  She was married to M.B. Eckert who preceded her in death December 15, 1977.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mamie Jones and brother, Johnny Brown.  She is survived by two daughters, Linda Young of McMinnville and Virginia Allen of Indianapolis, IN;  son, Johnny R. Simons of Woodbury, TN;  grandson, Ricky McCarver of Morrison, TN;  five other grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;  sister, Virginia Smith of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service and interment was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at Morrison Cemetery with Archie Alread and Donnie Crowe officiating.

GANN, Cora Estelle Cantrell - McMinnville resident and Coffee County, TN native Cora Estelle Cantrell Gann, age 81, was born June 3, 1929 and died July 21, 2010 at her residence.  A retired employee of Oster Corporation, Findley Corporation and the dietary department at NHC Healthcare and member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Delbert C. and Cora Greene Cantrell.  She was married to William Hoyt Gann who preceded her in death May 7, 1994.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter.  She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Teresa Gann of McMinnville and Randall and Debbie Gann of Morrison, TN;  four grandchildren, Lynn Gann and Lee Gann both of McMinnville and Tim Gann and wife Amanda and Derrick Gann both of Morrison, TN;  great-granddaughter, Taylor Danielle Gann of Morrison, TN;  one great-grandson due in October;  aunt, Doris Talley and husband Charles of McMinnville;  brother-in-law, Ben Gann of Morrison, TN;  sister-in-law, Avis Rogers of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with Tony Lawrence officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.

GRISSOM, Anna Tennessee - McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Anna Tennessee Grissom, age 94, was born March 11, 1916 and died July 21, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.  A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late John Dallas and Ova Elizabeth Simmons White.  She was married to Kelso Grissom who preceded her in death in 1976.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Ova Mae Graves in 2006;  three brothers, John Bidge White, Sherril White and James Dallas White, Jr. and six sisters, Audrey Gay Grandstaff, Lodemya Edna Powell, Fannie Mae Edds, Lavinia Eudena Mangum, Delma Trenton Chandler and Eula Grace Austin.  She is survived by two grandchildren, Scott Graves of Hermitage, TN and Rebecca Graves of Antioch, TN;  great-grandson, Alexander Blake Graves of Hermitage, TN;  brother, Arther Carlton White of Chattanooga, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with Van Richmond officiating.  Burial followed in the Long Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.

HARBIN, Joslyn Grace - Joslyn Grace Harbin, the infant daughter of Anthony and Jamie Harbin of Rock Island, TN, was born July 1, 2010 and died July, 2, 2010 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sisters, Jenna Lamb, Jessa Lamb, Ayleana Harbin and twin sister, Abbagail Harbin.  She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Judy Greenawalt of Morrison, TN.  A graveside service and interment was held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Gardens of Memory.

HARDCASTLE, SR., Floyd Ulysses - McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Floyd Ulysses Hardcastle, age 92, was born April 22, 1918 and died July 22, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.  A retired Assistant Superintendent with McMinnville Electric System and United States Army veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late Benjamin Roy and Veta Mai Vanhooser Hardcastle.  Mr. Hardcastle was a member of the Central Church of Christ where he was a former deacon and elder.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Martin, Melba Davis and Roy Mai Warren.  He was married March 4, 1951 to Patsy Murphy Hardcastle of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Hardcastle and Betty and Tom Wood both of McMinnville;  son, Floyd Hardcastle, Jr. of McMinnville;  grandson, Adam Wood of McMinnville;  brother, Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville;  two sisters, Dorothy Cook of McMinnville and Elsie Harris of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with Julian Goodpaster officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors to be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

HERNDON, Henry L. - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Henry L. Herndon, age 95, was born August 22, 1914 and died July 10, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired employee of Rockwell Company in Chattanooga, TN and member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Henry Brewer and Bessie Elizabeth Medley Herndon.  Mr. Herndon was a member of Warren Masonic Lodge #125 F&AM, Eastern Star Chapter 725 and Senior Friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Jo Ann Herndon and two brothers, Paul and Joe Herndon.  He was married October 4, 1940 to Mildred Askew Herndon of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, he is survived by special nephew, Bill Askew of McMinnville and several other nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in High's Chapel with Joe Gray officiating.  Burial followed in the Centertown Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites administered by Warren Lodge #125.

HILLIS, Beulah Mae - Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Beulah Mae Hillis, age 87, was born January 6, 1923 and died July 12, 2010 at Raintree Manor.  Ms. Hillis had been at Raintree Manor nursing home since March of 2009.  She was a life-long resident of the Rocky River Community in Van Buren County and was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Eliza Martin Hillis and five siblings, Lonnie, Charlie and Arthur Hillis, Eula Yates and Lena Hillis.  She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ms. Hillis worked for approximately fifteen years at Genesco.  She was hard working, what some would call a mountain woman, because of her work ethics.  She worked long hours on the farm and was always tasked to take care of her family as they grew older, until only she was left with no one to care for her.  She was never married, but she was dearly loved. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ at Crain Hill as long as services were held there.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with Gene Brock officiating.  Burial followed in Crain Hill Cemetery.

JONES, Willard Elbert "Bill" - Pikeville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Willard Elbert "Bill" Jones, age 83, was born November 1, 1926 and died June 22, 2010 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  The owner of Bill Jones Roofing Company, a United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, he was the son of the late Herman Owen and Martha Ethel Mayfield Jones.  He was married to Wilma P. Jones of Pikeville, TN.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Marty and Tracy Jones of Monticello, IN and Donna and Danny Johnson, Tim and Marquita Jones and Shellie and Josh Jones all of McMinnville;  eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;  sister, Lucille Matheny of Campaign, TN;  several nieces and nephews and four children from his previous marriage, Joe Warren and Terri Jones, Phyllis Buckner, Debra Smartt and Gary Wayne Jones.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 in High's Chapel with Pastor Harley Roth officiating.  Burial followed in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

MCCOY, Mildred - McMinnville resident and Briceville, TN native Mildred McCoy, age 70, was born August 23, 1939 and died June 27, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.  A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Voltaire T. and Delta Nettie Childress McCoy.  She is survived by one daughter, Lorna Kester of Rock Island, TN;  three sons, Terry A. MEDLEY, Jane Stewart - McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Jane Stewart Medley, age 82, was born September 27, 1927 and died July 1, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.  The retired co-owner of Warren County Furniture, former employee of City Bank and Trust Company and member of First United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Euin Ezra and Lucille West Stewart.  She was married to Herman Medley who preceded her in death November 7, 2006.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carter West Medley.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Jackie Medley of McMinnville;  granddaughter, Kate Medley McGregor and husband Nathan of McMinnville;  step-grandson, Terence Clabo of Charlottesville, VA;  brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert E. and Sandra Stewart of Huntsville, AL;  brother-in-law, Clyde Medley of Smithville, TN;  sister-in-law, Maggie McPherson of McMinnville;  special friend, Carson Malone of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bob Case and John Vaughn officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Neighbor Fund @ First United Methodist Church c/o High's.

Kurst Pearson.  She was married to George B. Perdue, Jr. who preceded her in death.  She is survived by one daughter, Billie Jean Myers Perdue of Morrison, TN;  three sons, Robert A. Perdue of Cleveland, OH, George "Bud" Perdue, III of Columbus, OH and Michael Perdue of Denver, CO;  five grandchildren, Scott Adcock, Tina Marie Hamblen, Kenny Perdue, Jeremy Lance and Jordan Perdue;  four great-grandchildren, Madeline Hamblen, Claire Hamblen, Sophie Hamblen and Chloe Lance;  step-granddaughter, Joella Myers;  two sisters, Donna Sisley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Peg Burns of New Castle, PA;  several nieces and nephews and two step-children, Georgeann McCarthy of Texas and Thomas Perdue of California.  Mrs. Perdue was buried at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO beside her husband.

POTTER, Ora Alice - McMinnville resident and Clay County native Ora Alice Potter, age 88, was born June 11, 1922 and died of old age July 15, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville.  A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Lou Mathis Harvey.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Odell and Elmo Harvey and two sisters, Mary Muncey and Lenora Potter.  She is survived by two sons, Billy Potter of McMinnville and Jerry Potter of Clarksville, TN;  six grandchildren, Katrina, Carly, Jeremy, Amanda, Kimberly and Tina and four great-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Kirby officiating.  Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery on Hwy. 30.

PRATER, Cecil Dewey - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Cecil Dewey Prater, age 91, was born February 5, 1919 and died June 25, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired rural letter carrier, United States  Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Sam Arlee and Mary Lowe Prater.  He was a life-time member of the American Legion.  He was married to Frances Lillian Sain who preceded him in death March 15, 2002.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther and Glenn Prater;  two sisters, Lucille Rinehart and Nina McCormick and granddaughter, Carole Prater Bradley.  He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sydney Prater of McMinnville and Dr. Nick and Patty Prater of Olathe, KS;  two grandchildren, Sean Prater of Durham, NC and Breanna Prater of Dallas, TX and brother, Eugene Prater of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.  Memorial contributions may be made to Westwood Church of Christ Building Fund, Relay For Life or Meals on Wheels all c/o High's.

PRATER, Fred Russell - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Fred Russell Prater, age 77, was born March 6, 1933 and died July 1, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired farmer, he was the son of the late Quince Prater and Pearl Youngblood Prater Parrish.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Houston "Hootie" Prater.  He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Richard Lee and Betty Jean Prater of Homestead, FL;  sister, Shirley Barnes of Merinna, FL;  sister-in-law, Gearl Dean Prater of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Ivy Bluff Cemetery with Buddy Pope officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ivy Bluff Cemetery, NHC Healthcare Activities Department or Lunches With Love @ Ivy Bluff Church of Christ all c/o High's.

SAIN, Jerry Frank - Manchester, TN resident and Coffee County, TN native Jerry Frank Sain, age 66, was born August 23, 1943 and died July 26, 2010 at Medical Center of Manchester in Manchester, TN following a sudden illness.  A retired route salesman with Mayfield Dairies and member of the Pleasant Knoll Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Frank Winton and Ruby Ramsey Sain.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Woodhurst.  He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Judy Sain of Sparta, TN and Troy and Kim Sain of Manchester, TN;  four grandchildren, Michael and Casey Sain of Sparta, TN and Shannon and Thomas Sain of Manchester, TN;  sister and brother-in-law, Betty Ann and Benton Womack of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 in High's Chapel.  Burial followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.

SCOTT, James Houston "Buddy" - McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Houston "Buddy" Scott, age 80, was born February 14, 1930 and died June 21, 2010 at the Webb House in Smithville, TN following an extended illness.  A retired employee of the United States Postal Service, United States Army veteran and member of the East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Marcum Vestol and Sally Kesey Scott.  He was a former commander of American Legion Post 173.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, M.L. "Sam" Scott.  He is survived by two sons, James Mark Scott and Houston Lee Scott both of McMinnville;  one grandson and two great-grandsons;  sister-in-law, Carol Winters Scott of McMinnville;  niece, Elizabeth Scott Damron of Pittsburgh, PA and two great-nieces, Laura Damron and husband Aleksandr Zasedatelev of McMinnville and Emily Damron of Boston, MA.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.

SIMMONS, Effie Pauline - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Effie Pauline Simmons, age 74, was  born June 6, 1936 and died June 23, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired nursery worker and member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Harrison and Ocie Curtis Russell.  She was married to Virgil Leon Simmons who preceded her in death.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Anna Belle Bottoms, Mary Nunley, Stella Russell and Leona King.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and James Anderson of Rock Island, TN;  son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Debbie Wolfe, Jr. of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Sherridean Hewett, Misty Moody, Kenneth Wolfe, III and Lashonda Martin;  two step-grandchildren, David McBride and Evan Womack;  five great-grandchildren;  sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ray Honeycutt of McMinnville and brother, James Russell of Lafayette, GA.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating.  Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.

WALKER, Robert Louis - McMinnville resident and Arkadelphia, AR native Robert Louis Walker, age 88, was born July 20, 1922 and passed away July 20, 2010 peacefully at home on his 88th birthday with his loving children at his side.  A retired mechanical engineer with Union Oil, United States Army and Air Force veteran of WWII and member of the First United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Luther Miller and Salley Elizabeth Smart Walker.  He was married to Amy Williamson Walker who preceded him in death January 28, 1991.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank O. Walker.  He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Abby Walker of Hermosa Beach, CA and David L. and Deb Walker of Minooka, IL;  daughter, Elizabeth C. Walker of Cookeville, TN and sister, Salley Armstrong of San Antonio, TX.  Funeral service was held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bob Case and John Vaughn officiating.  Burial followed in the Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.  Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church c/o High's.

WHITEAKER, Laverne Joyce - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Laverne Joyce Whiteaker, age 79, was born June 30, 1930 and died June 27, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.  A retired employee of River Park Hospital and member of Shellsford Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Claude Monroe and Jewell Walker Holland.  She was married November 30, 1946 to John H. Whiteaker who preceded her in death April 9, 2000.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny L. Whiteaker;  daughter, Janet Sue Brock;  three brothers, Chester, Jack and George Holland and two sisters, Mattie Thompson and Ruby Byrd.  She is survived by one son, Kenneth Whiteaker of McMinnville;  two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;  four brothers, Doris and Ronald Holland both of McMinnville, Donald Holland of Eagleville, TN and Earl Holland of Lavergne, TN;  two sisters, Annie Burbage and Johnnie Maxwell both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in High's Chapel with David Royalty officiating.  Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.

WOODLEE, Patricia Ann - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Patricia Ann Woodlee, age 47, was born August 23, 1962 and died July 6, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  A cashier at One Stop Market and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Jo Ann Dodson of McMinnville and the late Buford Carr.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Elaine Fults.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Brandon and Stephanie Woodlee, Jennifer Dawn Woodlee and Chris Elrod and Michael Lynn Woodlee and Lisagail all of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Caitlyn Brooke McCormick, Brendan Tyler Woodlee, Kannin Lynn Woodlee and Crimson Brayden Woodlee all of McMinnville;  two brothers and sister-in-law, Terry and Shelia Carr of Morrison, TN and Jeff McAmis of McMinnville;  step-brother, Marty Joe Carr of Indiana;  two nephews, Joseph Tyler Carr of Morrison, TN and Chandler Allen McAmis of McMinnville;  special friend with undying love, Lynn Woodlee of McMinnville and friend, Steven Fish of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010 in High's Chapel with Dean Northcutt officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. ZSIGALOV, Stephanie Agnes - McMinnville resident and Bridgeport, CT native Stephanie Agnes Zsigalov, age 93, was born December 14, 1916 and died June 25, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a brief illness.  A retired employee of Carrier and member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late Stanislow and Mary Camlet Kaczynski.  She was an active community volunteer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers;  two sisters and granddaughter-in-law, Lucretia Dolzonek.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and George Dolzonek of McMinnville;  son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Gay Zsigalov of McMinnville;  seven grandchildren and their spouses, George A. Dolzonek, Linda and Mike Trivett and Kristine and Jason Gross all of McMinnville;  Gregory and Karen Dolzonek of Huntsville, AL;  Deb Zsigalov and Carmen O'Conner of Rock Island, TN and Cheryl Zsigalov and Barbara Zsigalov both of Boston, MA and twelve great-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with Father David Cooney officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
