Willie BASS

McMinnville resident and Amarillo, Texas native Willie Bass, age 82 was born July 9, 1923 and died February 10, 2006 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  A retired custodian with the Warren County School System and a veteran of the United States Navy, he was married to Mildred Johnson who preceded him in death in 2005.  He is survived by a daughter, Nora Arnold of McMinnville;  son Jerry Lillard of Lebanon, TN;  sister Mable Bradley of Fontana, California;  eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two brothers-in-law, James Edward Johnson and Eunice Johnson both of McMinnville.  A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Brown Chapel Cemetery with Janese Elder, Douglas Martin and Michael Harris officiating.
