Jimmy Douglas EVANS

McMinnvile resident and Warren County native Jimmy Douglas Evans, age 49 was born July 21, 1957 and died January 3, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.  A self-employed tree trimmer an a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Walter Lee and Ruby May Reed Evans.  He was married October 2, 1992 to Linda McGuire Evans of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Melissa Melson of McMinnville and Melissa and Jason Stover of McMinnville; son, Freddie Eldridge of McMinnville;  five grandchildren;  two sisters, Dean Basham of McMinnville and Dot Sparkman of Rock Island, TN;  two brothers, Richard and Charles Evans both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service and interment was held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 at Liberty Cemetery with George Roberts officiating.
