Ida Shelton Taylor RAMSEY

Viola, TN resident and Como, MS native Ida Shelton Taylor Ramsey, age 91, was born September 26, 1917 and died January 22, 2009 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A homemaker, author and member of the Viola Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Tom Shelton and Mary Sherman Taylor. She was married September 7, 1938 to S.R. "Bob" Ramsey, Sr. who preceded her in death April 15, 1995. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Pomarede of Chevy Chase, MD; two sons, S.R. "Bobby" Ramsey of College Park, MD and William T. "Bill" Ramsey of Nashville, TN and three grandchildren, David Marc Pomarede of Brighton, UK and James William Ramsey and Julia Kim Ramsey both of New York, NY. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Viola Methodist Church with Jerry Rutledge and Bob Case officiating. Burial followed in the Viola Cemetery.
