McMinnville resident and Warren County native Charles Douglas Ritchey, age 65, was born January 26, 1944 and died February 22, 2009 at his residence. A lab technician with General Motors and retired pastor of the Short Mountain Church of God, he was the son of the late Floyd and Pauline Crook Ritchey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Ritchey and brother, Norvel Ritchey. He was married March 30, 1963 to Anna Marie Cole Ritchey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Ritchey of Grand Blanc, MI and David and Jennifer Ritchey of Fernandino Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Sean, Brian, Christine, Nicole and Olivia Ritchey; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Willie T. Smith of McMinnville; mother-in-law, Beulah Cole of McMinnville; sisters-in-law, Sharon Nelson of Kentucky and Faye Ritchey of McMinnville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lena and Robert Raymond of McMinnville and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Brenda Cole of Jacksboro, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in High's Chapel with Rev. Royce Martin officiating, assisted by Bishop Donnie Kelly. Burial followed in the Blues Hill Cemetery.
