Dorothy Mae MCCORMICK

Rock Island, TN resident and Smith County, TN native Dorothy Mae McCormick, age 83, was born January 16, 1928 and died June 22, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of Friendship The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late George and Beulah Lynch Orange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Troy McCormick and brother, Jimmy Orange. She was married to Alton McCormick of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Cynthia McCormick of Rock Island, TN; granddaughter, Mary Beth Wanamaker and husband Derrick of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Nathan Wanamaker; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Thelma Orange of Carthage, TN and sister-in-law, Alberta Garrett of Campaign, TN. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Friendship Cemetery with Steve Breedlove officiating.
