Barbara S. Blackburn

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Barbara S. Blackburn, age 81, was born September 13, 1931 and died April 5, 2013 at River Park Hospital. A retired LPN with River Park Hospital and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Fannie Mae Tallent Smith, Sr. She was married to Frank James Blackburn who preceded her in death. Mrs. Blackburn is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Frankie Holland of Murfreesboro, TN and Beth Black and Carla and John Brown both of McMinnville; son, James Blackburn of McMinnville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, E.F. Smith of McMinnville and Walton Smith of Rock Island, TN and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Stroud Cemetery with Steven Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday at High's.
