A.D. Myers

Altamont, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native A.D. Myers, age 71, was born September 30, 1951 and died September 5, 2023 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. 

A retired electrician, fourth generation white oak basket maker and a member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Avery and Helen Lorene Manus Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Larry Myers and great- granddaughter, Camilia Cox.

Mr. Myers was married to Shirley Myers of Altamont, TN on October 15, 2016. In addition to his wife he is survived by children, Kelly (Heather) Myers of Morrison, TN and Tammy (Terry) Pardue and Tommy Myers, both of Viola, TN; grandchildren, Mallory Myers Cox, Madison Myers, Brooklyn Chrestman, Rylee Pardue, Nilah Pardue, Paislee Pardue and Matthew and McKenzie Roberts; step-grandchildren, Peyton and McKayla McGee and Brennon and Kendra Richardson; great-grandchildren, Kenyon, Sawyer and Haven and a niece and nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Terry Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
