Agatha Mae Lawrence

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Agatha Mae Lawrence, age 92, was born May 10, 1930 and died November 13, 2022 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.           

A homemaker and member of the Church of God of Prophecy, she was the daughter of the late Arvile Taylor and Nancy Ella Johnson Hale. She was married to Brownie G. Lawrence who preceded her in death on May 30, 1996. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Shirley Childers; two sisters, Rosie Simmons and Karen Scarlett and four brothers, Genette Hale, Junior Hale, Cooper Hale and Ed Hale.

Ms. Lawrence is survived by daughter, Deborah (John) Freeze of Morrison, TN; two sons, Ken (Margaret) Lawrence of Beech Grove, TN and Mike Lawrence of McMinnville, TN; eight grandchildren, Kevin Butcher, Devin Butcher, Trevin Childers, Steven Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, Nikki Jewels, Jonathan Austin and Tara Austin; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Rick Lyles and Danny Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
