Alana Ewing

McMinnville, TN resident and Detroit, MI native Alana Ewing, age 74, was born January 17, 1948 and died July 28, 2022 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN following an extended illness. A retired nurse with St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Everett Frank and Margaret Anderson Lankford. She was married to John Jay Ewing on December 29, 1989, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2020. Ms. Ewing is survived by daughter, Janna Ewing of McMinnville, TN; brothers, Chuck (Mary Anne) Lankford and Jeffrey Lynn (Brenda) Lankford both of Cookeville, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Central Church of Christ with Cody Boston officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN.
