Allen Wayne Owens

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, Allen Wayne Owens, age 67, was born March 16, 1955 and died August 26, 2022 following an extended illness.

He was the son of Thomas “Doc” Owens and the late Zada Pauline McGregor. He was preceded in death by sister, Clata Owens; step-mother, Louise Owens; step-siblings, Tony Simmons, Bobby Simmons, Edward Simmons and Cathy Bouldin.

Mr. Owens was employed at Carrier Air Conditioning in Morrison, TN for 30 years. He later retired from Schneider Electric in Smyrna, TN after 15 years.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Rhonda Owens; son, Dr. Jeremy Owens and wife, Brandy; grandchildren, Jacob, Laken, Lila, Tyler and Maggie Owens; siblings, Betty Woods, Bud Owens, Wanda Owens, Gail Burns, Sandy Hall, Glenda Hughes and their respective spouses; step-siblings, Barbara Cantrell, Donnie Simmons, Linda McAdams and Frances Nolan; many nieces and nephews; special mother-in-law, Wanda Smartt and longtime friend and karate buddy, Mike Bouldin.

Mr. Owens was of the Christian faith, he had accepted Christ and was baptized and ready to go to his heavenly home.

Per Mr. Owens wishes, he will be cremated. Arrangements will be made at a later date.
