Audie Benjamin Wellman

Morrison, TN resident and Grundy County, TN resident Audie Benjamin Wellman, age 69, was born March 7, 1956 and died October 24, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

A veteran of the United States Army and a self-employed mechanic, he was the son of Pauline Wellman of Morrison, TN and the late Peter Frank Wellman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Clifford Wellman.

He was married to Johnnie Porter Wellman of Morrison, TN on June 21, 1979. In addition to his wife, Audie is survived by son, Jesse (Lacy) Wellman of Tullahoma, TN; brother, Bruce Wellman of McMinnville, TN; sister, Diane (Bobby) Basham of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Hannah, Colby, Briar, Jacy and Layne Wellman; sister-in-law, Tammy Wellman and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. October 26, 2025 in High’s Parlor with Alan Northcutt and Brian Bonner officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at High’s.

Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
