Barbara Ann Tipton

McMinnville, TN resident and Easton, PA native Barbara Ann Tipton, age 80, was born September 7, 1940 and died May 28, 2021 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness. A retired accountant with HCA and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Arlene Long Hawk. She was married to John A. Tipton on May 18,1975 who preceded her in death on May 1, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Larry Tipton and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Hawk. Mrs. Tipton is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Darlene (Alan) Rising of McMinnville, TN; two sons, Kenneth G. Tipton of McMinnville, TN and John Paul Tipton of Roanoke, VA; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Kirk Wilson of Bethlehem, PA and Douglas and Vickie Hawk of Walter Hill, TN; sister, Rebecca Hawk of Ormond Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
