Barry Lane Knight

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Barry Lane Knight, age 72, was born December 19, 1950 and died April 16, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.           

A retired superintendent with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Haskell Grant and Hallie Mae Duggin Knight.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bryan and Haskell Knight; sister, Jackie Renae Knight and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Farlon and Ethel Damron.

He was married to Neva Knight of McMinnville, TN on July 6, 1985.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Knight is survived by son, Brandon (Alicia) Knight of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Gracie Slatton and Sadie Anne Knight and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Charles Creek Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Adam Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
