Betty Jean Green

Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Betty Jean Green, age 84, was born April 8, 1941 and died October 8, 2025 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was a longtime employee of the Oster Corporation and a retired employee of Walmart. A member of Jericho Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Hillis Patrick Jones. She was married to Walter L. Green who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy and James Patrick.

Mrs. Green is survived by children, Amanda (Chris) Frazier of Morrison, TN, Robert (Christy) Green of McMinnville, TN and Shellie (Dale) Griffin of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Cantrell, Leslie Minge, Jonathan Green, Matthew Harbin and Christy Fults; nine great–grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary L.(Hilton Lynell) Williams of Morrison, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Randall Gann and Samuel Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
