McMinnville resident and St. Petersburg, FL native Betty Reams Hernandez, age 76, was born July 12, 1948 and died March 31, 2025 at her place of residence that she shared with her daughter in McMinnville, TN following a brief illness.
Betty was the daughter of the late Dr. Carey A. Reams and Wilma L. Kissling Reams. She was married to Miguel Hernandez Gomez who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings, David Reams and Allena “Lenora” Tibbets. Betty is survived by her daughter, Katherine Marie; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, La Verne Reams, Eugene Reams and Thelma Blunt and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
An instructor with the International Institute of Original Medicine, Betty held a Masters in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction as well as an Associate of Arts degree , and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Liberal Arts and The Humanities. She wrote her first book that was published in 2022 titled, "Reams Biological Theory of Ionization - The Life of Carey A. Reams (A Biography Only)" and co-authored "The Ultimate Answer to Health & Vitality" that was published in 2024.
Per her wishes, Betty Reams Hernandez will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
