Betty Jo Howard

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Betty Jo Howard, age 77, was born March 3, 1949 and died June 3, 2026 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.

A retired employee of Oster and a member of First Baptist Church of McMinnville, she was the daughter of the late George and Annie Sparkman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Roy Sparkman.

She was married to Ronald Howard of McMinnville, TN on September 2, 1977. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Howard is survived by children, Greg Johnson of McMinnville, TN; step-children, Kevin Howard of Smithville, TN and Patti Howard of Selmer, TN; grandchildren, Christian Johnson, Lauren (Thomas) Courtney, Patrica Saulter, Amanda (Eli) Harris and Christina Howard; niece, Diane (Billy) Bouldin and nephew, Donnie Sparkman.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2026 at First Baptist Church with John Templeton officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at High’s. The family will begin receiving visitors at First Baptist Church on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
