Betty Jo "Ninny" Cantrell Womack

Riceville, TN resident and Warren County native Betty Jo “Ninny” Cantrell Womack, age 91, was born July 2, 1932 and died February 20, 2024 at her son and daughter-in-law’s residence following an extended illness. She was a retired homemaker and part-time secretary and a 74-year member of Earlyville Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Clara Mae Hodge Cantrell. She was married to Arsey William Womack on September 2, 1950 who preceded her in death in 2012. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Mark Womack and sister, Frances Garrison. Mrs. Womack is survived by two sons, William Steven (Peggy) Womack of Murfreesboro, TN and Phillip Wayne (Susan) Womack of Riceville, TN; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Crystal) Womack of Hixson, TN, Mark (Amy) Womack of Smyrna, TN, Chris (Tiffany) Womack of Asheville, NC, Lucas Womack of New York City, NY and Michael Womack of Tampa, FL; five great-grandchildren, Whitney, Ella Grace, Brooke, William and Mila along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 in High’s Chapel with her children, grandchildren and Dr. Tim Gunnells officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at High’s.
