Betty Jo Scott

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Jo Scott, age 86, was born July 7, 1937 and died July 9, 2023 at her sons residence in Rock Island, TN following an extended illness.           

A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margie Kennedy Pepper.  She was married to Lincoln B. Scott on February 20, 1954 who preceded her in death on March 11, 2021.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Terry Lynn and Ricky Dale Scott and grandson, Stacy Scott. 

Mrs. Scott is survived by son, Joe (Freda) Scott of Rock Island, TN and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Tim Long officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. There will be no visitation held at High’s.
