Beverley Jean Hertwig

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Beverley Jean Hertwig, age 81, was born March 23, 1941 and died February 8, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.          

She was a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.   After retiring from a long career in healthcare, she enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her family.   She was the daughter of the late B.F. and Wilma Fisher Yates.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by great-grandson, Gunner Hertwig and sisters, Shirley Nunley and Helen Fults.

Ms. Hertwig is survived by three children,  Keri (John) Nunley and  Scott (Pennie) Hertwig, both of McMinnville, TN and Krista (David) Nicely of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Casey (Amber) Hertwig, Lindsey Grider (Rhonda), Hillary (Ridge) Nunley and Ginalynn Hertwig; five great-grandchildren, Josie, Willow and Toby Hertwig and Hadley and Hutton Nunley; sister, Barbara (Lanny) Wanamaker of McMinnville, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Charlie Boyd of McMinnville, TN and several close nieces and nephews, including Kara Hurst, Shane Nunley and Corey Nunley.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Larry Green and Harry Green officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
