Billy Ferrell

Rock Island, TN resident and Dekalb County, TN native Billy Ferrell, age 52, was born December 12, 1972 and died September 16, 2025 at his residence following a sudden illness.

A nurseryman with Simpson’s Nursery in Smithville, TN and a member of Rock Island Church of God, he was the son of the late Troy and Anna Maria Puckett Ferrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Vella Steele.

He was married to Larosa Diane Ferrell of Rock Island, TN on August 15, 1992. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ferrell is survived by step-children, Tiffany (Shane) Hutton of Sparta, TN and Travis (Holly) Haston of Dayton, TN; several grandchildren; brothers, Mitchel (Faye) Ferrell, Jerry (Delcie) Ferrell, Jimmy (Mellisa) Ferrell and Tommy (Lillian) Ferrell, all of McMinnville, TN and sisters, Linda (Charles) White, Sandra South, Janie Green and Tammy Neal (Avery Bratcher), all of McMinnville, TN and Pat (Wayne) Wilder of Manchester, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery at Bluff Springs in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
