Bobbie Boyd

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native Bobbie Boyd, age 99, was born June 24, 1925 and died November 26, 2024 at her daughter’s residence following a short illness.

A homemaker and member of Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jessie William and Ester Lee Green Turner. She was married August 19, 1944 to Robert Avery Boyd who preceded her in death July 7, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Pete Turner, US Army PFC Herbert Turner Korea, Nolan Turner and Hubert Turner, sisters, Evelyn Turner and Ernestine Cunningham and son-in-law, Tony Rhea.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by sons, Donald (Linda) Boyd of Beersheba Springs, TN and Doug Boyd of McMinnville; daughter, Nancy Rhea of McMinnville; grandchildren, Christopher Boyd of Altamont, Kimberly (David) Fults, Angela Higgins, Jennifer (Alan) Roberts, Marty (Shirley) Rhea and Megan (Anthony) Wright all of McMinnville; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington and Bill Walkup to officiate. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
