Bobby Allen

McMinnville, TN resident and Coffee County, TN native, Bobby Allen, age 90, was born December 31, 1931 and died April 20, 2022 at his residence in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness. A retired master sergeant from the United States Air Force, veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, retired production supervisor from the Carrier Corp and of the Church of Christ faith, he was the son of the late Everett Riston and Maude Louise Scruggs Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Gary Don Allen and Everett Lee Allen; daughter, Melody Henley; brothers, Donnie and Gary Allen and sisters, Vivian Benson, Wanda Bailey and Patsy Harmon. Mr. Allen was married on June 26, 1987 to Kennie Sue Allen of McMinnville, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lila Bredbenner of Athens, AL, Rhonda (Pete) Macias of Clovis, NM and Deena Thornton of Dunlap, TN; two step-sons, Jamie (Paula) Glenn of Anderson, IN and Jason (Crystal) Glenn of Venice, FL; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria (David) Brown and Malinda Taylor, both of Morrison, TN; two brothers, Thomas (Carol) Allen of Manchester, TN and John Harry Allen of Summitville, TN; sisters-in-law, Jan Allen of Summitville, TN and Betty Hendrick of Manchester, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Andrew Coppinger officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064 Honor Guards.
