Bobby Joe Shields

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, Bobby Joe Shields, age 78, was born November 2, 1943 and died October 5, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.           

A retired truck doctor, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Emmie Crouch Shields. He was married to Beverly Dean Shields on April 11, 1964 who preceded him in death. 

Mr. Shields is survived by sons, Danny Shields (fiancée, Lori Greer) of Woodbury, TN and Donnie (Sherrie) Shields of McMinnville, TN; daughter, Misti Shields of McMinnville, TN; brother, Jimmy (Ruth) Shields of McMinnville, TN; sisters, Mary Beaty and "Tiny" Beaty, both of Manchester, TN and Lillie Tittsworth of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Jessica (Charlie) Pittard and Amber Shields (fiancé, Caleb Evans), both of Woodbury, TN and D.J. Shields of McMinnville, TN; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and dog, Max.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
