McMinnville, TN resident and Atlanta, GA native Carolyn Arnette King, age 94, was born April 3, 1931 and died October 27, 2025 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.

A homemaker and of the Christian faith, she was the daughter of the late Percy Ward and Carolyn Arnette Ellis Peck. She was married to William Waymon King, Jr., DDS on May 19, 1951 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Arnette K. Skidmore of Houston, TX.

Mrs. King is survived by sons, Dr. Wayne (Ann) King of Nashville, TN and Lawrence J. (Iris) King of Miami, FL; daughter, Melody K. Wagner of Morrison, TN; son, Joseph (Audra) King of Morganza, MD; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at King Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High’s.
