Charlene Cope Nunley

Charlene Cope Nunley, age 90, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, was born January 8, 1931 and died November 29, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN following a brief illness. She was a retired assembly line worker at Magnatek, a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Charlie Cope and Betty Powell Cope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Isaac Clinton Nunley; son, Michael Nunley; special aunt, Rachel Mae “Mammie” Powell; and siblings, Sara Kathryn McGregor and Billy Joe Cope. Ms. Nunley is survived by children and spouses, Terry (Anita) Nunley, Teresa (Gordon) Watts, Diann (Gene) Grissom, and Cathy (Bill) Arter all of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Tosha Nunley, Brent (Janet) Nunley, Tyla Wanamaker (Chris Long), Brandon Rains, Trista (Philip) Grandey, Tanya (Josh) Houston, Travis (Kristi) Bryant, Caitlin Darnaby, and Damian Nunley; great-grandchildren, Parker and Olivia Marks, Peyton and Alexis Wanamaker, Taelan France, Trence, Tripp, and Trale Houston, Jackson and Lincoln Bryant, Ella Barrier, and Kaiden Nunley; and great-great-grandchildren, Branch, Truett, and Ellie Rae. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
