Charlie Turner

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Charlie Turner, age 86, was born November 14, 1935 and died April 12, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, veteran of Vietnam, retired employee of Carrier Corp. and member of East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Kermet and Melvina Jones Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, James, Robert and Larry Turner. Mr. Turner was married July 30, 1955 to Wilma Bell Turner of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Debra Redmon of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Sherry Tuner of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Joshua King, Jonathon King, Matthew Turner and Lexi Turner; great-grandson, Abram King and several nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 12:00 p.m. until time of service Friday at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to WSOJ radio station.
