Charles Lynn Delong

Rock Island, TN resident Charles Lynn Delong, age 77, was born July 29, 1946 and passed away peacefully at home March 9, 2024.

A construction worker and member of Shellsford Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Richard Leon and Margie Edna Moore Delong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Simmons and Wanda Sue Lawson and brother, Bobby Delong. Mr. Delong was a long-time resident of Warren County but spent several years living in the Dallas, TX area.

He is survived by daughter, Kim Bishop of Venus, TX; granddaughter, Sheena Adair and husband Keelan of Mansfield, TX; grandson, Rusty Ridgeway of Venus, TX; brother, Lee Delong of Dallas, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County with Junior Ralph to officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m.until 10:00 a.m. at High’s.
