Christine Nellie Caldwell

McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Christine Nellie Caldwell, age 74, was born April 13, 1947 and died April 12, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired home health nurse at Sewanee Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Clay and Alice Layne McDaniel. She was married to Lee Franklin Caldwell who preceded her in death in 1991. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Troy Lee Caldwell; sisters, Polly Brown, Carolyn Turner and Grace Caldwell; brothers, Reggie McDaniel, Eulice McDaniel and Charles Moser and grandchildren, Christina Leigh Coffelt and Christian Lee Bryson. Mrs. Caldwell is survived by children, Tonya Caldwell Roberts (Bo Jones) of McMinnville, TN, Kurt Caldwell (Pearlie Copeland) of Coalmont, TN and Erica Caldwell Tate and Jared Caldwell (Terah Jones McBride), both of McMinnville, TN; bonus daughter, Dana Caldwell Mullins of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Nick (Alice) Robert, Hunter Lee Roberts and Jessica Green, all of Tracy City, TN, Trent Caldwell and Cameron Caldwell, both of Palmer, TN, Whitney Leigh Caldwell and Austin Evans, both of McMinnville, TN, Alexis Caldwell Jacobs of Mountain City, TN, Tori Tate of McMinnville, TN, Scott and Courtney Tate of Altamont, TN, Jaymi and Brittany Vernon and Nathan (Kellsea) McCormick, both of McMinnville, TN; great-grandchildren, Easton Caldwell, Max, Piper, Finley Roberts, Brantley Jones, Ryder Jacobs, Kyleigh Roberts and Layligh and Zander Mullins; brother, Gaylen McDaniel of Palmer, TN and several nieces and nephews. Per Mrs. Caldwell’s wishes, she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 658 Leesburg Road, McMinnville, TN 37110.
