Conny Joe Hillis

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Conny Joe Hillis, age 85, was born February 14, 1940 and died November 13, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

Owner and operator of Summer View Nursery and a member of the Church of Christ, Mr. Hillis was the son of the late Arlin and Lucille Beatrice "Bea" Wanamaker Hillis. He was married to Linda Ellen Curtis on December 17, 1984 who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, Woody Hillis.

Mr. Hillis is survived by son, Tracy Ryan Hillis of McMinnville, TN; daughters, Stephanie Joe (Mike) Dunlap and Cynthia Jill Hillis, both of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Dustin (Lindsey) Hillis of Atlanta, GA, Cody Pryor and Tyler (Alexis) Hillis, both of McMinnville, TN, Rylan Pierce of Ashville, NC and Tristan Dunlap of McMinnville, TN; brother, Jerry Lynn Hillis of Alabama; sister, Patti Phillips of Cookeville, TN; great-grandchildren and loyal employees for years, Kelly Dodson and Jose Ramirez.

Graveside service and entombment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Ricky Magness and Jeff Hill officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High’s.
