Cynthia “Cindy” Jones Swann, age 74, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026 at her home, surrounded by family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, resiliency, and selfless service to others.
Born on January 12, 1952 in McMinnville, TN, Cindy grew up with a bright spirit and a natural sense of joy. In her youth, she cheered for the City High Rebels and built friendships that stayed with her for life. She attended Tennessee Tech University, where she became a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Professionally, Cindy devoted 46 years to a remarkable career in banking. Her dedication, steadiness, and genuine warmth shaped the lives of countless colleagues and clients, many of whom became lifelong friends. She was a longtime member of the Viola Church of Christ, where her faith grew strong and sustained her through life’s unexpected turns.
But above all, Cindy’s greatest joy was her family — the people she loved, supported, and celebrated with her whole heart. She loved music, and she captured life’s sweetest moments through the photographs she loved to take, preserving the memories that meant the most to her.
She was the beloved wife of Monte, with whom she shared over 52 years of marriage. Together they raised three children, and delighted in their five grandchildren, who brought endless light to her life.
She is survived by her husband Monte; her children Mendi (Donald) Bradley, Travis (Kristen) Swann, Warren (Kalyn) Swann; five grandchildren Will and Eli Davis, Waylon and Violet Swann, and Charlie Swann; two brothers Randy (Kathy) Jones and Chuck (Aprill) Jones. She is also remembered with love by her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by father and mother, Charles and Lena Doak Jones.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026 in High's Chapel with Charles Warren Jones, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Viola Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 8:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at High's.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association.
