David Earl Basham

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native David Earl Basham, age 77, was born October 30, 1947 and died May 4, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

A retired employee of Powermatic, he was the son of the late Herman and Opal Jones Basham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles (Nancy) Basham and Donald Basham.

He was married to Marion Jo Rogers of Rock Island, TN on November 22, 1974. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mr. Basham is survived by daughter, Brandy Basham (Kyle) Cox of McMinnville; grandchildren, Byron Cox (Fiancée, Shelby King), Katelyn Cox and Ean Cox; sisters, Helen (David) Jennings of Morrison and Billy Jean Fults of McMinnville; brothers, Bernice (Diane) Basham of Morrison and Bobby (Diania) Basham and Ray (Pat) Basham, both of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County with George King officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High’s.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Warren County Master Gardener's Program or Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
