David Boland Cathey

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native David Boland Cathey, age 58, was born May 7, 1964 and died at his residence on June 18, 2022 following a brief illness. The owner and operator of Cathey’s Portable Toilets and Septic Pumping, he was the son of Don and Martha Muncey Cathey of McMinnville, TN. He was married October 10, 1987 to Sheila Marshall Cathey of McMinnville. David was a loving husband, father and friend. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Cathey is survived by daughter, Shania Cathey of McMinnville; sister, Sherrie (Donnie) Shields of McMinnville; nephew, D.J. Shields of McMinnville; best friend, Greg Grizzle of McMinnville; special cousin, Greg Cathey of Morrison, TN; numerous other family members and friends and granddog, Lollie. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 in High's Chapel with Nathan Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warren County Relay for Life c/o High's. A memorial cruise will be planned in memory of David at a later date.
