David Arnold Ferrell, Jr.

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native David Arnold Ferrell, Jr., age 57, was born June 20, 1969 and died October 17, 2026 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL following a sudden illness.

An operating technician with Bridgestone and of the Baptist faith, he was the son of Linda Simmons McCormick and the late David Arnold Ferrell, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Travis Ferrell and grandparents, Raymond and Goldie Ferrell.

He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Kay Melson Ferrell, on May 27, 1989. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ferrell is survived by children, Amanda (John Brown) Ferrell of Hillsboro, TN, Brittany (Dustin) Rhea and Dakota Ferrell, both of Morrison, TN; grandchildren, Rylee, Addison, Saylor, Spencer and Lanie; mother, Linda McCormick; brother, Lee Simmons of Viola, TN; sisters, Angela (Jeff) Anderson of Woodbury, TN, Tonya Murray of McMinnville, TN, Joyce Simmons of Smithville, TN and Jessica (Amanda) Smartt of McMinnville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
