David Kenneth Matthews

Murfreesboro, TN resident and Niles, Michigan native David Kenneth Matthews, age 69, was born October 16, 1952 and died March 8, 2022 at his residence in Murfreesboro, TN following a sudden illness. A manager with Advantage, LLC. and a member of Lifepoint Church, he was the son of the late Lawrence B. and Judy Bates Matthews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, George Matthews and sister, Boots Dokey. Mr. Matthews is survived by three children, David (Dana) Matthews of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Heather (Bobby) Simpson of Mishawaka, Indiana and Kenneth Matthews of Woodbury, TN; three grandchildren, Cecilia, Julia and Zachary Matthews; three sisters, Carmen “Trinket” (Jim) Smith, Cindy (Phillip) Seitenstich and Sharon Matthews and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at High Funeral Home. Mr. Matthews will be cremated following the visitation.
