Delbra Ann Gunter Transue

Sparta, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Delbra Ann Gunter Transue, age 71, was born January 30, 1951 and died June 27, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a brief illness. A retired employee with the Carrier Corporation and of the Christian faith, she was the daughter of the late J.L. and Coleen Smith Hillis. She was married to Denman “Danny” Transue of Sparta, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Edward “Eddie” Gunter. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Transue is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Jonathan Hutchings of McMinnville, TN; son, Kevin Gunter (Sarah) of McMinnville, TN; eight grandchildren, Gavin Gunter, Rachael Gunter, Brandon Hutchings, Dustin Hutchings, Jonathan Hutchings, Nicholas Gibson, Zachary Gibson and Dixie Gibson; four great-grandchildren, Reonin Hutchings, Victoria Hutchings, Abby Hutchings and Beau Hutchings and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Rex Boles officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
