Diane Gross

Morrison, TN resident and Rhea County, TN native Diane Gross, age 73, was born October 23, 1950 and died February 24, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth Janow Sneed. Mrs. Gross was married December 27, 1969 to Stanley Gross who preceded her in death on March 3, 2017. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Bishop, Rosaleen Caraway, Jean Dotson, Earleen Cox, Connie Clayton and brothers, Eunice, Charles, Melvin, Allan and Calvin Sneed.

Mrs. Gross is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Keith) Sims of Morrison, TN and Brittany Hale (Chad Davis) of McMinnville; two granddaughters, Bailey Krouse (D.J.) of Murfreesboro, TN and Keragan Sims (Dalton Morris) of Morrison; three sisters, Thelma Roberson, Fay Wilkey and Jane (Rex) Dugger all of Dayton, TN; brother, Bobby Sneed (Wanda) of Dayton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Keith Sims to officiate. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
