Doris Lorraine Greene Wilcher

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Doris Lorraine Greene Wilcher, age 88, was born August 29, 1935 and died September 12, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. Retired co-owner of Wilchers Bargain Barn and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Peyton and Pauline Sanders Greene. She was married to Robert Eugene “Tunney” Wilcher on May 1, 1955 who preceded her in death April 2, 2020. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Steven Eugene Wilcher. Mrs. Wilcher is survived by daughter, Lori Judkins (Danny Hildreth) of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Brandi Wilcher, Nichole Wilcher and Tyler (Marisa) Judkins; great-grandchild, Tate Eugene Judkins; brother, Joel (Carol) Greene of Old Hickory, TN; brother-in-law, Rodney Reynolds of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Jerry Davenport and Tyler Judkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center.
