Doris Weismore

McMinnville, TN resident and Lenox, New York native Doris Weismore, age 88, was born December 23, 1937 and died September 11, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness.

A retired supervisor for the New York State Department of Mentally Handicapped Children and of the Baptist faith, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Jay Graham and Dorothy Elizabeth Snell Graham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Robert Weismore, Sr.; son, Ethan Chad Weismore and sister, Genevieve Cromp.

She was married to James Robert Weismore, Sr. on December 31, 1956. Mrs. Weismore is survived by children, James Robert Weismore, Jr. of McMinnville, TN, Terry Ernest Weismore of Morrison, TN, Cheryl Elyse Myers and Nicole Dylan Smith, both of McMinnville, TN; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Pearl Townsend of Canastota, NY, Betsy Jay (Charles) Bates of Vernon, NY and Priscilla (Jerry) Patrick of Rock Island, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026 in High’s Chapel with the family to officiate. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
