Lady Dorothy Tracy Wilson

Rock Island, TN resident and Washington, D.C. native Lady Dorothy Tracy Wilson, age 76, was born May 27, 1946 and died January 4, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a sudden illness.           

A retired director of nursing with Alvin C. York Veterans Administration Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Leesburg, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Hal and Sally Lou Allison Tracy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by step-son, Ricky Wilson, uncles, John Mitchell and Henry Moe; cousins, Bonnie Moe-Uriarte, Michael Moore and John Moore. 

Mrs. Wilson was married to Joe Wilson of Rock Island, TN on November 9, 1981. In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, James Vernon and Russell Vernon, both of Dickson, TN; step-children, Miles (Pam) Wilson of McMinnville, TN, Gail (Tom) Biro of Daytona, FL, Timmy Wilson and Barry Wilson, both of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Jamie (Brittany) Vernon of Rock Island, TN, Tiffany Vernon of McMinnville, TN and Jennifer Vernon of Smithville, TN and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; aunts, Ann Mitchell of New York and Janet Moe of Virginia; cousins, Deborah Mitchell, Donnie Mitchell and David Mitchell, all of New York, Scott Moe of Virginia, Brandy Moe-Kaufman of Florida, Jennifer Timiniski and Jeanette Smith, both of New Jersey. "Mema" to all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Dana Mullins officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.

The Warren County Nurse Honor Guard will administer last rights.

Per Mrs. Wilson’s wishes, she will be cremated.
