McMinnville

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Dorthy Mae Rogers, age 89, was born February 14, 1935 and died June 7, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.           

A homemaker and a member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Minnie Sanders McCormick. She was married to Delmas Ferrell Rogers who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Judy Annette Garrison and six siblings. 

Mrs. Rogers, is survived by son, William Lloyd (Betty Kay) Garrison of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Jason Garrison, Vanessa Garrison, Brandon Garrison, Jessica Garrison, James Dewayne Bates, David Bates and Patricia Kay Bates; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Tommy Lee Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at High’s.
