Earl Rigsby

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Earl Rigsby, age 82, was born November 18, 1941 and died February 11, 2024 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a short illness.

A retired employee of Burroughs-Ross-Colville Co., he was the son of the late Elbert and Willie Pauline Hutchins Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Ray Fisher, Paul Rigsby, Fred Rigsby, Ted Rigsby, Bob Rigsby and Wilma Stephens.

Mr. Rigsby was married to Eva Rigsby of Rock Island, TN on December 25, 1965. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Timothy (Jennifer) Rigsby of Walling, TN and Troy Rigsby of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, T.J. Rigsby, Addison Rigsby, Hunter Rigsby, Torrye Rigsby and Hailey Rigsby; great-grandchildren, Fallon and Braxleigh; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Nancy) Locke, Mary Jo (Jimmy) Smith and Gail Locke and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in High’s Chapel with William Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
