Eleanor June Ghrist

McMinnville, TN resident and Pennsylvania native, Eleanor June Ghrist, age 96, was born June 6, 1925 and died February 23, 2022 at her residence following a sudden illness. A homemaker and member of Smartt First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Mona Ruth Sutter Strange. She was married to Harry Frank Ghrist, Jr. on April 14, 1946 who preceded her in death February 12, 2022. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by children, April Mickelson, Dawn Nunley, Glenn Ghrist and Daymond Ghrist. Mrs. Ghrist is survived by four children and spouses, Lief and Carol Ghrist of McMinnville, TN, Clay and Joan Ghrist of Texas, Sherd and Kathy Ghrist of Rock Island, TN and Tana Fraser of South Carolina; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ghrist was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Smartt First Baptist Church with Johnny Newby officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mt.
