Elpidio Vazquez

McMinnville resident and El Sedral, San Luis Potosi, Mexico native Elpidio Vazquez, age 77, was born March 4, 1945 and died May 21, 2011 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A retired nursery worker with Little Creek Nursery and Martin Farms and member of the Catholic Church, he was the son of Juan Vasquez and Petra Zuniga. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Nicolas, Guadalupe and Olivia. Mr. Vazquez was married September 16, 1989 to Leonor Garcia Vazquez of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jorge Carlos Vazquez (Whitney) of Morrison, TN and Jose L. Vazquez (Patricia) and Juan C. Vazquez (Lauren) both of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Raylynn, Logan, Lilianna, Alaina, Michael, Sebastian and one baby boy on the way; three sisters, Maria, Marina and Nina; four brothers, Rafael, Modesto, Juan and Abdon and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in High's Chapel with Father Bala Marneni Showraiah officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Hill Cemetery.
