Erma Jean Holt

McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native, Erma Jean Holt, age 88, was born July 11, 1934 and died October 23, 2022 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.           

A retired seamstress from Aquatech and a member of The House of Prayer, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Marvin and Mary Alice Roberts King. She was married to Jessie Robert Holt, who preceded her in death on December 9, 2003.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Joyce Judkins and Bonnie Terry; brother, J.H. (Virginia) King and special niece, Brenda Farr).

Ms. Holt is survived by children, Rickey (Debbie) Woodlee, Dwayne (Tresea) Holt, Bobby Robert Allen Holt and Patty (Lynn) Simmons, all of McMinnville, TN; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat (Harvey) Kennanamer of McMinnville, TN and Lorene Argo of Gainsboro and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Dwight Rackley and Dwayne Rackley officiating. Burial will follow at Blues Hill Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
