McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Etta Elaine Hudson Hoover, 69, was born November 24, 1953 and died January 7, 2023 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.
First and foremost, she was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ at Bybee Branch. She was part owner in RLH Farms, co-owner and operator of the Shoe Shack, Inc. and she was a master gardener. She was the daughter of the late Austin P. “Jack” and Berchie M. Billings Hudson. She was married to Ronnie Lanier Hoover on February 18, 1971. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Killian, Frances Bouldin and brother, Joe Hudson.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hoover is survived by daughters, Naomi Hoover (Kenny Horn) of McMinnville and Megan (Hobie) Tyler of Alabama; grandchildren, Cybelle and Ivy Hoover-Horn and Dalton and Shelby Tyler; sister, Emmagene (Doug) Durham of McMinnville; special friend, Ann Cantrell and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at High’s.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
