Evelyn Roberts

Evelyn Roberts, age 83, a McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County native was born February 8, 1936 and passed away August 8, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a homemaker and daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Etta Sanders King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Clyde Roberts; daughter, Julia Mae Roberts; son, David Roberts; sisters, Rosalee King, Ruby King, Florence Cummings and Dorothy King; and brothers, Corbet King, Coy King, Nelson King and Ivy Loren King. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and Tommy Ferrell, Delcie and Jerry Ferrell and Charlotte Roberts all of McMinnville; son, Charles Roberts of McMinnville; grandchildren and spouses, Carolyn and Derek Johnson, Deanna Ferrell, Benjamin and Samantha Ferrell all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Caniel Carr, Kirra Ferrell and Kenzi Ferrell; and good friend, Shannon Johnson. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 in High’s Chapel with Ed Fults, Sr. to officiate. Interment will follow in King Cemetery.
