McMinnville, TN resident and Dekalb County, TN native Fatama Phillips Walker, age 88, was born May 24, 1935 and died January 30, 2024 at her daughter’s residence following an extended illness. A retired line technician with Calsonic and member of Bethel Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Clarence T. and Edna Cook Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Paul Nelson Walker; son, Jeffery Paul Walker; brothers, Clarence T. Phillips, Jr. and Bill Phillips and sisters, Norma Gunter and Jane Eller. Mrs. Walker is survived by children, John D. Walker of McMinnville, TN, Paula Janie (Kenny) Manners of Franklin, TN and Tina Walker of McMinnville, TN; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Lawson of Smithville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Methodist Church with Ryan Heatherly and Rachel Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Dekalb County, TN. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at High Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Cemetery Fund.
